Chiropractic Care for the Low Back

Musculoskeletal conditions are the leading contributor to disability worldwide, with low back pain being the single leading cause of disability globally. Low back pain has consistently topped the charts of the most common reasons for all physicians visits in the United States.

Low back pain does not have to mean surgery. The American College of Physicians (ACP) recommends that physicians and patients should treat acute or subacute low back pain with non-drug therapies such as superficial heat, massage, or spinal manipulation. For patients with chronic low back pain, ACP recommends physicians and patients initially select non-drug therapies such as exercise, multidisciplinary rehabilitation, motor control exercise, and spinal manipulation

Our approach at Karuna Chiropractic is aligned with ACP guidelines and combines identifying causes of low back pain and modifying to prevent continued injury.  Movement and neurological education is important in treating low back pain. In this way we can reduce and ultimately abolish your mechanical low back pain.
